Aim of the Course

Due to the persistence of the COVID-19 pandemic, the “Crowd and Riot Control Awareness in NATO Operations” course has been cancelled. In the same period, a second iteration of the “Introduction to Stability Policing for Leaders” online course will take place.

The course aims at providing officers, who can be deployed in NATO operations and/or can have a relevant role in operations and executive planning, with the basic understanding of the CRC concept and its related operations.

Delivery Method

NATO SP COE will organize the sixth edition of the course “Crowd and Riot Control Awareness in NATO Operations” on 24 – 28 May 2021 in Vicenza/ITALY.

The course is certified “NATO APPROVED”.

Application

The course is open for NATO, PfP, MD, ICI and other nations (NATO partners) as approved.

The course “Crowd and Riot Control awareness in NATO Operations” is also available via the NATO ePRIME system which means the students from NATO partner nations can be reimbursed up to 100%.

The NATO Stability Policing Centre of Excellence actively encourages the participation of women to its activities, fully in line with united nations security council resolution 1325 (2000), which advocates for a wider role and contribution of the latter in field-based operations.
