Centre Of Excellence

The NATO “Allied Joint Doctrine for Stability Policing” defines Stability Policing (SP) as a set of “police-related activities intended to reinforce or replace the indigenous police in order to contribute to the restoration of public order and security, rule of law, and the protection of human rights”.

The NATO Stability Policing Centre of Excellence (NATO SP COE) is a multinational military body, manned and funded by Italy, as the Framework Nation, and by Czech Republic, France, Greece, The Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Spain and Turkey as Sponsoring Nations.
